about her (my moms) neighbors and the near drowning of their
11 month old baby boy, Christian.
The baby's mom, Shauna started a blog about their journey since the day of the accident and I feel compelled to pass along their story.

We love having her so much!! She is such a lover - and that is what we love! She's overall a really well behaved puppy. Of course we are still working on the potty training (fun) but we'll get there.
She is just precious and are so lucky to have gotten her!!

So I know I have been M.I.A when it comes to blogging lately. You can blame it on Facebook, at least that's what I blame it on!
I love me some Facebook. Which is funny because at first I hated it.
I liked Myspace so much better because of the creativity involved in creating a page (which I think FB should have as well) but the Apps on FB outweigh the creative-ness involved on Myspace.
I still get on Myspace here and there...but not nearly as much as the other.

So basically between FB, kids, summer...let's just say that I have had no time or desire to blog about my life..LOL.
But after uploading all my pics yesterday (finally) I was feeling the urge to blog.

Summer has been awesome!
I cannot believe school starts in 3 weeks!!!
But I guess that's life - we all can't be in "Summer" mode forever.
I've got quite a busy year ahead of me, but I am very excited!!!

1. I am gonna be part of 2 committees at church.
2. I am gonna be a "fill-in" troop leader for Kylie's girlscout troop.
3. I am hoping to be "room mom" for Kylie's 1st grade class.
4. I will of course be "mom taxi" - Kylie is signed up for 3 dance classes and 1 gymnastics class.
5. I will be a teacher's aide for Kylie's catechism class at church.
Just to name a few - haha!

We're still debating on putting Josh in preschool. I thought I'd do it more for a break for myself. But since I have made some good friends out here..they help give me a break.
In fact we have a teenage babysitter right on our street!!!! The kids loved her watching them the other day while Jarett and I got to go on a date!!!!!!!
So I am just not sure if I'm ready for the preschool thing or not.
Basically I am in not a huge hurry.
Preschool out here is a pretty big deal! Back in AZ if you put a 2 or 3 year old in preschool it was basically at a daycare. But here they are FULL on preschools with set schedules and all!
The good thing about that I guess is the cost for it isn't all that bad. Josh would be going 2 days a weed from 9am-12pm. So 6 hours a week. We'll see....

I Conquered I75 and the Atlanta Bypass!

I was quite nervous this morning about a drive I had to make.
It was to a new doctor's office further into Atlanta.
Since we moved here I have been a bit intimidated (to say the least) about driving on 8 freakin' laned Interstate(s).
I am proud to say that I did it all by myself today! (Thanks to a little GPS help). YAY ME!
It's ALOT different than our little 2-3 lanes we have on I10 back in AZ. LOL!
I don't usually experience too much anxiety in my life, but THAT had me a bit on the tense side this morning...LOL.
I was relieved that it was over and that I CONQUERED IT!!
WOOHOO!

(NO this wasn't taken this morning while I was driving - LOL!
In fact this is ANOTHER Interstate that I have yet to drive on, but the ones I took today pretty much look like this)

Okay so it's been quite sometime since I have posted. I honestly haven't been in a "writing" mood. I've been addicted to a few new apps on Facebook and also been reading lots of books. In between those "hobbies" (I really need to get more active hobbies -lol) I am just doing the mom thing.

So lets see....what's new:

We got our new computer!! We switched to the "other" side and decided to go Mac instead of PC. I couldn't be happier with our choice!!!

Kylie only has 7 days of school left and I couldn't be more excited!!!!!!!
She is gonna be my big 1st grader!! At this point she definitely has "kinder-itis" she is SO done with school!!

We are traveling to Tucson June 3rd!! I'm very excited!!

Joshua is doing pretty good with potty training. I say he goes on his potty 50% of the time, he refuses to go #2 though! He freaks out and wants a diaper put on last minute. LOL

We had our first ER visit here in GA.
Of course it was my crazy baby boy!! He was plopping in the tub and landed right on top of a toy (either dinosaur tail or barbie hand) and sliced himself a good one right up "in there". We ended up having to go to two different hospitals because the first one said he would definitely need stitches but wanted a surgeon to look at it because he was bleeding "inside". So off we went to the Children's Hospital in Atlanta (which we have now learned to just go there first - after 2 separate $100 co-pays later).
Thankfully by the time they saw us the bleeding slowed WAYY down on it's own and he didn't even need stitches!!! I was relieved. We didn't get home until 5 in the morning!!! Also with all the bleeding and examining him "in there" with tools and fingers (sorry if TMI) he didn't cry once! Not even once!!! ANOTHER relief!

Well not much else going on right now.
I will try to post some pics soon as well as keep up more often with my blog.

Renewed our Vows!

On Easter Sunday we renewed our vows and our marriage
is now blessed in the Catholic Church!!
I was so happy that alot of our family could be here!
The priest was so nice to offer to do it on Easter since
he knew they would be here.
It was a great day!

A Special Thursday

I'd like to share with you all what we did on Thursday (yesterday)!
The kids and I went to a nursing home. It is something that our church does 3-4 times a year around various holidays!
It was such a great experience!
The ONE word that comes to mind when I think about it is: Special.
Just very very special.
I just cannot believe how much they appreciate the company and all the kids! Wow - they just ADORE the kids!

The home also had an "egg hunt" for all the kiddos which was a blast!!

Now for my favorite part of the story.....

Kylie said to me when we pulled up to the home and parked:
"Mommy I have a suprise"

Me: "You DO?"

Her: "yep" pulling something out of her backpack

It was approx 20 pictures that her class from school had drawn for all the senior citizens!!!!!!!
She told her teacher where we were going after school and asked if everyone could draw a picture for them!! I was SO proud of her in that moment! Especially if you all know Kylie...she is quite shy and for her to request something like that, well, it's a pretty big deal.
I explained to her the day before why we were going there...and she must have just really taken it to heart!
And can I just tell you how cute it was seeing her pass them all out!

This nursing home takes care of many folks with Alzeimers. There was one lady in particular who I remember vividly. She kept telling me over and over how one of the kids gave HER a picture.
She couldn't remember it was my daughter who was the one that gave it to her, she just knew that she GOT one and was SO thankful for it.
She was so excited to share with me that she was gonna hang it in her room and that it was very special to her!
She was so happy with getting just a simple picture - just so so happy.
I couldn't help but tear up.

What a neat and SPECIAL day.

1. Angel or not, I will still love them (my kids).

2. Wouldn't you like to have me any way you want me.

3. As my mother used to say, you're full of wit and good charm (okay maybe just wit).

4. I like to get CLEAN (if you know what I mean) after I'm done working out or doing something strenuous.

5. Even in the most crowded of rooms you can usually pick out the one who farted.

6. When I start my period it is a day (week) fraught with peril (for everyone!).

7. And as for the weekend, tonight I'm looking forward to sleeping in tomorrow, tomorrow my plans include sleeping in and Sunday, I want to go to my class, go to church, take a nap!

Hard to believe isn't it?? Man time is just whizzin' by!!
So yes...I have been a very lame "blogger" lately. It's been over a week. And even today this is gonna be short cause I gotta go hop in the shower and get Kylie then head to church. I am subbing for her class at church again. I am not even gonna attempt leaving Josh in the nursery - forget it..lol.
We all know how that went last time!
So anyways...we are just keepin' busy over here in our new hometown. I continue to be doing church stuff, Kylie's school stuff, and whatever else comes along with this being a mom job!
I really need to start taking more pics. Not only have I been a lazy blogger but I've been a lazy photograph taker! LOL
In fact when I am at home lately I've just been plain lazy - LOL.
Good thing I've been keeping busy with stuff that gets me OUT of the house - hehe!
Updates on the fam:

Jarett- Busy busy busy at work!
Got a raise though so at least he is recognized for his hard work!

Kylie- Going to school (doing great),girlscouts,catechism at church, and playing lots and lots outside with her new friends!
She is also reading really well now!! It's cute because whenever we are out and about she is attempting to read everything!
She also informed us that she misses dance and wants to start taking a class in the summer as well as a gymnastics class. I was so glad to hear about dance because she is just so good at it and I really enjoy watching her do it! Gymnastics scares me a bit - she hasn't really done anything beyond floor work (cartwheels, spits, backbends) but she may have a knack for it as well and I gotta let her try it.

Josh- still not potty trained - we've kinda lost interest in that apparently.
Fine with me, I hate doing it!
He continues to get taller and taller and heavier and heavier.
He still hates me leaving him AT ALL! Kylie and I went and did a little shopping yesterday and we were gone for maybe an hour - hour and a half and Jarett said he cried for a good half hour just looking for us out the window! Not too mention he wanted to call me about 6 times while we were out....sheesh! This kid I tell ya!

Oh and P.S. For those family readers who follow my blog: Jason proposed to his girlfriend, Amy!!! I am so happy for them! And I just adore her! He picked a good one!!! I'm finally gonna have a sister n law! Now I just gotta work on getting some nieces and nephews **wink wink**

Kylie was Star Student this week at school!
We had to make a collage for her to hang up in her class and this is how it turned out. I think it turned out SO cute and her teacher LOVED it!
She said that is way above and beyond what most do - hehe!

Let's just say I love crafty projects!!
Except for Josh being around - UGHHH that boy makes doing ANYTHING soooooo much harder!
When he gets older I can't wait to dabble into more (like scrapbooking!!!).
But for now I only do projects when I HAVE to because instead of them being fun to do, they are HARD to do.
I still enjoy the outcome though! ;-)

King Bed For Four?

So apparently it's a super good thing we invested in a king bed!
Now, Kylie has always liked sleeping with us off and on - and Josh was doing FINE in his own bed until.....we moved here.
Now he refuses to go to bed in his own bed. And not only does he HAVE to sleep in our bed, he HAS to sleep on my pillow! He also will stay up with me until I go to bed - which really stinks sometimes! I don't get much down time to say the least. I don't really get much time away from Josh at all for that matter. Even at night he has to be all up on me AND my pillow!!!
If he could weld himself to me he totally would.
Also, since moving here Kylie has gone from off and on to more ON in our bed. So I am SOOOOO glad we invested in a larger bed before moving here!!!!!

Busy Week Ahead!

Well it's Monday...AGAIN! Fun fun!Man I am TIRED this morning...meh!
I have a pretty busy day though so I won't be posting much. Basically I am helping at church alot this week. They are having their annual garage sale and I am volunteering. It was alot of fun helping on Saturday and I will be there today and tomorrow as well. (Next Sat. too) Kylie helped me on Saturday and she LOVED it! She was a BIG helper!
I am also continuing to help on Wednesdays in the nursery! So fun!
Next year I signed up already to be a teacher's aide for Kylie's class! I'm really excited about that. Luckily her class will be on Sunday's next year because I tried leaving Josh in the nursery when I filled in for a teacher 2 weeks ago and he WAS NOT having THAT! They ended up bringing him to the class..LOL! With it being on Sundays - Jarett can watch him. If he can't have me at least daddy is better than the nursery! LOL...one day he'll like it
in there (hopefully)
That kid - such a mama's boy!!!

Also, I am now meeting with a personal trainer at our gym! I love that gym!
It's so nice!
My trainer is awesome and is gonna kick my butt I'm sure - that's okay though I NEED someone pushing me right now. I've been in such a slump since we moved here and it's time to get back on track! I'm gonna focus on the working out part first and hopefully the eating better will follow!
I've been saying I need to get these holiday pounds off (and lots more but that's for starters!) and it's MARCH!!! Holidays are LONG gone!
So not only will it be a busy week for me, but probably a sore week as well...LOL.

Well that's about all I have for now. We are still really liking it here in Georgia! Sometimes I'm still like "hmmm, wow we live in GEORGIA - weird!"

Not too sure what to write about - I just feel like it's been

Let's see....hmmmmmm, well - doing the trying to eat better thing lately and...IT sucks! I'm having to RE-break some lovely habits that has caused my weight loss come to a major HAULT! I'm trying though I really am, summer is just around the corner and Kylie is already SO excited
to use our community pool
(yea me too...SOOOO excited).

Hmmmm...lets see what else...
With trying to eat better comes cooking more - just LOVIN' that - oh yeah LOVIN' that (P.S. I hate cooking)

Oh how I love these and I finally get a turn! Thanks Adie!! I've been wondering if I'd ever see this day where I get to share the nasty-ness going on in my purse! In the midst of dumping all my stuff out and taking pics, I got it cleaned out! YAY! That was a long time coming, boy did I need it! Lucky for you all - you get to see what was TRULY going on in there, because now it would be pretty boring.
Okay brace yourselves....

My bag (yes it's HUGE! I LOVE big big bags!)-

Its contents (yep everything even ALL the crumbs of cereal, candy, etc)-

Lets see~ some cars, lollipops, Kylie's lip gloss, Catholic Devotional, Rosary, pull ups, wipes, ziplock of fruitloops, fruit snacks, lotion, hand sanitizer, circus tickets, breath mints, baggie with my lipstick/gloss in it, pictures, tylenol, coupon book, crap, crap and more crap!

And oh how I love them so!
I don't really have much to post about...I really need to charge my camera battery, well while I'm thinking about it..hold on.................
k - i'm back. Wow am I the only one who when going to do ONE thing it turns into like 5 things?? I went to put my battery on the charger and in doing so - I ended up: Getting my son dressed (found him outside w/ his sister just in a shirt and diaper and no shoes!), threw some garbage away, ate a piece of pizza, and vacuumed under my couch cushions!!! HAHAHA! Wow am I random or WHAT?? Oh went ahead since I already HAD the vacuum out - vacuumed my living room floor...lol. Well at least I was a bit productive in the midst of my INITIAL goal!
BTW - Kylie had a sleepover last night and they took all the couch cushions off my couch to make a fort to sleep in, hence vacuuming under the cushions :-)
It was her first sleepover and boy did they have a blast! I'm so happy that she is finally enjoying it out here and making friends!!!

So quick story:
Every Friday night (well most) we have a pizza/movie night.

Hubby on phone yesterday: "Should I just pick up some of those hot and ready's on my way home from work since they are so cheap?"

Me: "Yea, that would be perfect!"

Him: "K - cool"

Later I get a text: "I got 10 pizzas and a 2 liter! Hope your hungry!"

Thought in my head: "WTF?? 10?"

I immediately called him: "why did you get 10?"?

Him: "Well they were so cheap! And I initially ordered 6 and the guy said if I order 4 more he'll throw in a 2 liter!"

In my head AGAIN: WTF????? (and why were you even ordering 6)

In conclusion, I guess ordering 4 more pizzas that we SOOOO did not need is TOTALLY worth a free 2 liter of soda!

So much for the "cheap" deal - it turned into a 40 dollar pizza night, when it could have been $12 bucks! Oh well - at least we know whats for breakfast, lunch AND dinner for the next few days! LOL oh and BTW we ate 3 pizzas out of the 10 (they were mediums)
I think he feels pretty silly now - I don't know if I'm ever gonna be able to not make fun of him about this one! Love ya babe!

Friday Fill-In

5. I consider myself lucky because I get to stay home with my kids (well at least today I feel that way-haha!).

Fat Tuesday

So I just learned what this was all about today. Since tomorrow is the beginning of Lent "Fat Tuesday" is get everything out of your system because you are cut off after that for 40 days!" LOL.
I will be fasting tomorrow as well as no chocolate for 40 days. YEP I said it...NO chocolate for 40 days! So MY "Fat Tuesday" will not consist of TOO much partying except with me and my bag of Chips Ahoy cookies!! I may have some emotional posts in the near future so hold tight..hahahaha!

This is actually a very important Lent for me. I never really got into it before, but since I am starting to get really connected with church again - I am very excited for this! I can't believe how much I have learned in these past few months! It's aweeesssooome! And I am happy to report and let you all know that Jarett and I will be getting our marriage blessed by the Catholic church on April 12th (Easter). We met with our priest today and he said he wouldn't mind doing it after the last mass on that day since a lot of our family will be here!! How cool is that! We never got to "renew" our vows for our 10 year anniversary last month, so I am very excited that we are getting to do this!!! YAY!!

The kids and I got to play outside today for a couple hours. It was a bit chilly but bearable until the sun started going down. I busted out with their jumping castle and they loved it! (well Kylie and the neighbors kids, Josh was a bit intimidated) They had a blast and it was fun chatting with my neighbor friends. Our neighborhood is just so awesome and I love the people around here!! People in the South are just so darn friendly!! LOVE IT!

Just another super exciting Monday! HAHA! We had a pretty low key weekend. Yesterday we went to church and then took the kids to McDonald's. We did our usual Wal-mart get your stuff for the week trip.
Getting Kylie to go to bed after having a week vacation was quite a task. She was NOT happy..LOL. And we even let her stay up past 10! Of COURSE it was nearly impossible getting her up this morning - I totally had to be that mean annoying mom that I swore I'd never be...turning on her lights, pulling off the covers, and threats. Oh So Fun! Needless to say - she got up. I think it was the "your gonna be grounded from playing outside with your friend for the rest of the week if you don't get up NOW!" that did the trick. Gotta love being a parent LOL!!
At least tonight she should have NO problems going to bed at 7 - yep her bedtime now is 7! She doesn't have to be asleep by 7 - but she needs to be in bed in her jammy's by then and she can watch some t.v. She usually passes out pretty quick.
Soooo, not much else. Just sittin' here at my computer when I should be doing housework. Why can't housework be as fun as being on the computer??? My house would be SPOTLESS!! HAHA!

I'm Nervous

Really really nervous!
I have not been to confession at church in YEARS!! I am ready to do it now, but oh man not looking forward to it. Well actually I am looking forward to it BEING DONE! LOL!
24 Years of confessions IS NOT gonna be pretty!

Some of you may know, but others might not - I have gotten back into the Catholic Church, and am VERY excited about it! I went through a period where I wasn't sure that that is what I wanted or if I wanted to raise my kids that way. I've just been praying alot about it.
After moving here we did some "church shopping" I have found an amazing church out here that we all just LOVE! And since I have been receiving Holy Communion again (which I have learned that's why I need to go to confession...oops) I just have had feelings come over me that I cannot deny!
I know this is the path that God wants me on -
and I want nothing more than to please Him!

I took a 6 week course called "Catholics Returning Home" and it was an awesome awesome class! I wish it never ended! I learned alot - and am excited to say its only the beginning!

We've had a visitor this week! Woohoo!! Oh how we love visitors out here! It's my mother-in-law. The kids are thrilled! Nana does WHATEVER they want...hehe! Gives us a nice breather from the kids also. Especially Joshy...that boy has been SOOO clingy since we moved here, and now with her here he has given me some breathing room! She leaves on Saturday already...man the time flies - always!! I'm excited though because I talked to my mom last night on the webcam and she is gonna come out again already!! Probably early March for just like 5 days! Then LOTS of people are coming for Easter!! Then we are going there in June or July!! So needless to say...we love our family!!!!

I'm in a "random" kind of mood today. I SHOULD be in a "cleaning" mood, but I'm not (nor am I ever!lol). My MIL is coming on Friday! I'm excited, we haven't seen her since November. Hence the "should be in a cleaning mood". I hate cleaning like I mean I REALLY REALLY hate it! I don't mind like organizing stuff, but when it comes to picking up and deep cleaning crap...UGHHHHH I hate it!! I would SOO much rather be on the computer...hahahaha...no really I'm serious. LOL.

Last night Kylie had a Valentines program. It was SO cute! SHE seemed like she could have cared less (would've rather gone to the park with our neighbor), but we enjoyed it..lol. I cannot get over how many Kinders there are at her new school! 10 Classes!! That's a serious amount of kiddos and parents - needless to say it was a bit of a madhouse last night.
Kylie mentioned to me when she got home yesterday that she had a bad day UGH! She said kids were being mean...I swear...as a parent you just want to slap some of these kids upside the head (oops did I say that out loud?). She wouldn't get into details (again more anxious to go play her neighbor friend) but she seemed fine. She really seems to be able to brush things off right away...at least that's the impression I get.
Good for her! I think that's a GREAT trait to have (one that I lack, I tend to get and stay allll bitter).

Anyways....other than trying to get my house clean for our visitor - I've just been trying to get involved with our church, and Kylie's class. I am helping her class on Friday for their Valentines party (making cupcakes, setting up, etc). She also wants me to come have lunch with her and read to her class tomorrow. So I'll probably do that. I am volunteering at the church nursery again this evening and we are getting our photo taken for the church directory. I am also going to join their Mother's Guild and hopefully start being a teacher's aide for one of their classes on Sundays. I'm also attending a seminar next week for a couple hours and might go on an afternoon retreat at the end of the month. Plus I still have one more class left that I've been taking for the past 5 weeks. PHEW! Now that's how you keep busy!!

I really really like it here, and actually quite thankful that we've had an opportunity for a new adventure like this! Not too mention Jarett already got promoted!!! This is absolutely positively where we are meant to be...I just know it.

I am going to Kylie's school here in a little bit to go have lunch with her! I love that we can do that! She gets SOOO excited when we show up! Josh likes it too. Probably be really good for him since he's been cooped up in the house for the majority of this week. It has been VERY cold!!! BRRRRR!! I'm still enjoying it though! I'm also meeting up with my new friend - her daughter is in Kylie's class. I can't even tell you how NICE it is to have a friend out here! Her daughter and Kylie have become really good friends too, that is just AWESOME! It has helped Kylie ALOT! She is diggin' school WAAAYYYY more these days now that she has had a chance to make friends in her class! YAY!

I'd like to give a quick shout out to my girls over at MM!! Thank you for your help and support through all these changes! And thank you SO much for the idea to reach out to a mom from Kylie's class!! It has worked out SO WELL!! I love you all!!!

I wish I could hang out with my brothers! It's weird to go from seeing them all the time to NEVER!! I always have a ton of fun with them and can't even tell you how much we make each other laugh!! At least Jason got to come out for Christmas, but I haven't seen Jeff since early November!!! BLAH!
We've always been really close - and I just felt the need to say today that I really really miss them!!

Definitely nothing exciting today. I don't feel so well. Nothing full blown, but it's just an awful headache and sore throat that I just can't seem to get rid of. It's just one of those days where I want to go nest in my bed and be left alone where its nice and QUIET for the rest of the day. Unfortunately as most of you know when you are a mom - that's not really an option. At least Kylie is home from school now, that tends to brighten up my day. Although she is already playing outside with her friend..lol.

Yep its Monday...AGAIN! I seriously cannot believe how FAST time flies anymore!!

So who's bummed about the Super Bowl?? Kinda wish Arizona won, but ultimately don't care...lol. Football schmootball. So enough of THAT topic. HAHA!

We had a pretty good weekend. Friday night we did Bingo at Kylie's school and walked around looking at all the kids' art projects. Kylie's won "most colorful". She was all excited last week to tell me that her name was announced over the loud speaker because her project won 1st place...lol, kids..hehe. I'll have to post a pic of it..it's DARN cute! On Saturday I got up early to take Gabby to her grooming appt. and later for her vet exam. She's all up to date on everything and all preeettty and shiny again! YAY! We found out that her knee is what is bothering her. She occassionally will go into a limp for a few days. But no way to tell exactly whats going on with out x-rays. Basically just keep an eye on it. We also found out that she has a heart murmur. So gotta keep an eye on that too. They will check it at her annual exams to see if it gets to a worse off "level". Poor girl is gettin' old.

On Sunday, I went to my class at Church and then to Mass. It was nice, as usual. Came home and later watched some of the super bowl. My highlight was the Dorito (crystal ball) commercial..LOL! That was hilarious! Definatley WAS NOT Bruce Springsteen -UGH!! He didn't even sing Born in The USA! What is up with that???

Oh yea and gonna join a gym this week. The gym is REALLY nice and I like it a lot! I got a free 7 day pass in the meantime and went at 5:30 this morning! Aren't you proud of me?? It was a great workout! I'm excited to get back on track. Things got kinda put on hold since November when we moved here. I started February of last year (wow a year ago!) and lost 30lbs. I have since gained 7 back but that number won't be going any higher. It's time for it to start going back in the other direction again!

Not too much else to chat about right now. Not the most exciting post...but I guess it keeps you all posted what we are up to...NOT MUCH...HAHA!!

POTTY TRAINING!!!

It's THAT time! I really wasn't thinking I was gonna have to do this until he was at least 3!! I have heard from lots of people that boys take longer...well...Joshua has shown HUGE interest in it (bummer-lol) and so I guess I have no choice. So far its going alright...as good as "potty training" CAN go - UGH!
And just to give you all a REALLY good laugh....we are attempting underwear for the first time today, and I haven't bought him his own yet...He is wearing his sister's!!!

Well wish us luck and if anyone has any tips they'd like to share to help me along the way....PLEASE DO!!!

Oh and I did ask what they are looking for exactly: They look for swollen gums, major obvious cavities, or anything that just "looks" like immediate dental care was needed. Just thought I'd share since I know most of you are just DYING to know!! HAHA!!!

Yay!..we've made it halfway through the week! Always a good feeling, isn't it? Not much going on over in this neck of the woods. Josh and I got to sleep in until Noon...how NICE is that!?! I still got up with Kylie and got her ready for school, but my honey took her on his way to work - boy do I love that her school is on his way!! So I didn't have to wake Josh up and after they left I was able to crawl back into bed...ahhhhhh, love THAT! For those of you that know me VERY well you KNOW that I REALLY DO LOVE THAT! (maybe a little too much sometimes)haha!!

I've got to take Kylie to have her mouth checked today..lol. For whatever crazy reason the schools here require a "mouth/dental exam" and then have to bring in a form that says her mouth is "normal" (???) Not really sure what an "unnormal" mouth would consist of- haha! So yea got a call from the principal yesterday because OOOPS I've been putting it off...BIG SUPRISE there! Hopefully her mouth passes-LOL! Not too sure what they look for, maybe I'll ask - heehee.
Afterwards we are off to church! Kylie has her class and I am volunteering in the nursery. We'll see how that goes!

Mornings Bite!

Well ANOTHER morning trying to wake Kylie up for school! UGH! Back in AZ I never had this problem! In fact she would typically get up on her own with her alarm, but since we've moved here it's just been a struggle almost every morning. At least she didn't cry this morning which she has done quite a bit since starting this new school. I just wonder if school is just getting "old" or if it's because of the move??? Maybe both - who knows. I also wonder if she would still be all gung ho about school if we still lived in AZ?? Well I guess there really isn't any way to tell, I just gotta deal!

At least I got her there (in the nick of time) that's always an accomplishment. It's such a relief when it's just done with. I walk back in the door when I get home from taking her and think "ahhh okay...got that done with - I don't have to worry about it until tomorrow."

So I am in LOVE with my Christmas presents that I got! I was outside for a good 2 hours on Friday with the kids (finally warm enough), and had a blast on my new bike! Joshua also loves the trailer! SO FUN!

Our Weekend

Well another weekend come and gone. We didn't do a whole lot on Saturday..just cleaning and hanging out. The kids got to play outside again which was nice. It's been so cold here that they haven't got to do it too often. They love it outside! Especially out front! With our huge culdesac connected to another culdesac it makes for LOTS of play room for their bikes and cars. We are also at the very top of a hill which also makes for NO traffic. It's awesome up here, we love it! We couldn't have asked for a better location for them.

Sunday has become one of my absolute favorite days! We have found an AWESOME church that I look so forward to! I also started taking a class on Sundays at church as well, which has been great! It's a 6 week class and I have 3 classes to go. I never want it to end, I love it! I'm already looking forward to what I can take next when this class is over. Kylie has also started Catechism there, I was so happy that they had room for her with the year being halfway over. So far she seems to really enjoy it. I'm also going to start volunteering in the nursery at the church. It works out great because I can just bring the kids with me! Hopefully it will get Josh "comfortable" there and I can actually get to utilize the nursery sometimes..LOL. He HATES me to EVER leave him...and I mean kicking & screaming hates!

We also took Kylie to a birthday party at Chuck E Cheese. It was....well...if you've ever been there on a weekend in the middle of the day, you know! LOL

Now here we are on a Monday again!

100th Day of School!

As most of you know Kylie started Kindergarten this year and today marks the 100th day! Her school goes ALL out for this! They are doing lots of activities that have to do with the number 100. We were told that the students needed to "represent" it somehow with what they wore to school today. They gave examples like dress like you are 100 years old, or something on your shirt, etc. I came up with the idea of putting 100 braids in her hair! Little did I know what I was getting into!! It took alot longer than I expected, but I think it was well worth it! I literally had to finish doing it while she was sleeping and then some this morning! PHEW! Today my back is killin' me and my fingers too, but at least it turned out really cool! She seemed excited and that's what counts!! I can't wait to hear how everyone including her teacher reacted today!

I am really enjoying the weather here! It is such a CHANGE from what we are used to! I finally get to experience "winter"! YAY! We get to wear jackets and scarves! The other morning when I took Kylie to school it was 10 degrees out with a windchill of 0! I have never felt that in my life. BRRRR We haven't had a real snow - just flurries, but that's okay...I'll take what I can get.
I am very excited to live in a place that has all 4 seasons! Apparently the summers here are pretty bad, but I hated the summers in Arizona anyways. So I'll let you all know which one I hate more when the time comes..hehe!
